THE DETAILS

  • Pop-Up Rental: $450 - includes 60 min tie-dye party.
  • Tie-Dye Workshop: Includes pop-up tie-dye bar at your event, dyes, guided step-by-step instruction, and a take-home box for the tie-dyed item.
  • BYO-TEE: You provide garments for the entire party to tie dye. 
  • Party Time: You and your group will have a full 60 minutes to tie-dye.
  • Group Size: We can accommodate 2-40 participants per hour.

    GUEST EXPERIENCE:

    Q: Can I take pictures and videos during the tie-dye event?
    A: Absolutely! Capture the creative process and share your experience on social media. Follow us now so you don't forget to tag us - @chucklou.stc

    Q: Is there a recommended group size for tie-dye events?
    A: We can accommodate various group sizes from 2 - 40. Additional hours can be added to your booking to accommodate larger groups. 

    Q: How does the tie-dye process work?
    A: We will bring all the all the essentials to tie-dye to your event – dyes, step-by-step instructions, and a box to take the tie-dyed item home with you. You choose your colors, create your design, and we guide you through the process.

    Q: How does the group tie-dye event work? Does everyone tie-dye at the same time?
    A: We run the workshop buffet-style. Each participant will have about 10 minutes to go through the line, learn the tie-dye technique, pick their colors, and get finishing instructions for taking their project home to dry.

    Q: Is tie-dyeing messy?
    A: We suggest you wear clothing you don't mind getting a bit colorful. Anything the dyes touch will be permanently vibrant!

    Q: Are the dyes safe?
    A: Yes, our dyes are skin-safe, water-based, and non-toxic.

    Q: How should we prepare our space for the tie-dye party? 
    A: The dyes we use can stain. We'll bring plastic coverings and drop cloths to help protect your space. You just need to provide the tables for us to work on. We'll take care of the rest, including dyes, instructions, coverings, and take-home boxes for the finished garments. 

    A wide open space or room with lots of space to move around is preferred. Outdoors (weather permitting) works for us too. We ca work with most spaces.

    Q: How many people can participate?
    A: We can accommodate up to 40 participants per hour.

    Q: Does the 60-minute party include setup and cleanup time?
    A: No, the 60 minutes is just for the tie-dye activity. We'll need an additional 60 minutes before the event to set up and 60 minutes after to clean up.

    T-SHIRTS AND GARMENTS TO DYE

    Q: Do you provide custom-printed t-shirts with our logo or preferred design?
    A: Unfortunately that is something we cannot offer at this time. 


    Q: What kind of shirt is best for tie-dye?
    A: Cotton and poly/cotton blends are best, however, our dyes will work on most fabrics. Feel free to reach out if you are not sure if your shirts will work - events@chucklou.com.

    Q: Can the t-shirts have a logo or graphic design on them or do they need to be basic white tees?
    A: Screen-printed graphic tee are perfect for tie-dye! Shirts do not need to be white, lighter pastel colors such as pink, light blue, yellow, and tans work too.

    Q: Can I bring something other than a T-shirt?
    A: Yes! We enthusiastically encourage you to think outside the box with what you can tie-dye. Some past examples of garments include - aprons, onesies, pillowcases, canvas shoes, and lingerie.

    Q: Can you create a custom design for our party t-shirts?
    A: No, at this time we do not offer design services. 

    BOOKINGS

    Q: How far in advance should I book the studio for an event?
    A: It's recommended to book at least 2 to 4 weeks in advance, especially for peak times. The earlier you book the better.

    Q: What payment methods do you accept for bookings?
    A: Follow the prompts to check out and reserve your space through our website. Full payment is required to secure your reservation.

    Q: Is there a booking fee or deposit required?
    A: Payments must be made in full to secure your booking.

    Q: Can I reschedule my event after booking?
    A: Depending on availability, rescheduling may be possible. Contact us as early as possible if you need to make changes. A $150 rescheduling fee will be applied.

    Q: Can I cancel my event after booking?
    A: We understand that things come up. You can cancel your event up to 31 days before it’s scheduled, incurring a $150 cancellation fee. Just shoot us an email at events@chucklou.com to cancel. Unfortunately, cancellations within 30 days of your event does not qualify for a refund.

    Q: Are there any hidden fees in the booking process?
    A: No hidden fees. All costs, including optional add-ons, will be transparently communicated during the booking process.


    DRESS CODE:

    Q: What should I wear for the tie-dye event?
    A: We suggest you wear clothing you don't mind getting a bit colorful. Anything the dyes touch will be permanently vibrant!

    Q: Can I wear my tie-dye shirt immediately after the session?
    A: No, it will take 24 hours (sometimes longer) to dry. Then it will have to be washed and dried before you can wear it.

    SAFETY:

    Q: Are the tie-dye materials safe for children?
    A: Yes, our tie-dye materials are safe for participants of all ages. Adult supervision is recommended for younger participants.

    Q: How old do children have to be to participate in the Tie-Dye activity?
    A: We suggest 4 and up. Adult supervision is recommended for younger participants.
